Mali Visa Requirements

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: AS OF APRIL 25TH 2008, THE VISA APPLICATION FEE FOR U.S CITIZENS WILL CHANGE TO $131.00. ALL APPLICANTS MUST BRING THE AMOUNT OF $131.00 IN A FORM OF CASHIER’S CHECK OR MONEY ORDER. NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHECK WILL BE ACCEPTED

The visa application fee for a US Citizen is $131 for all types of visa except for official and diplomatic visas which are free. This fee is not refundable. US Citizens are eligible for up to a (5) years multiple -entry visa.

DIPLOMATIC AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Diplomatic and international organization employees benefit a three (3) year multiple entry visa.
No visa is required for ECOWAS countries’ citizens, citizens from Algeria,Cameroon,Andorra,Monaco,Chad, Gambia,Morocco, Mauritania,and Tunisia (a valid identity card or passport are acceptable)

Required documents

A valid passport

Two (2) recent passport size photographs (Please glue them on the application forms)

Two (2) completed application forms

A copy of the yellow fever certificate

Applicants for a transit visa must submit copies of their onward tickets and visas to their destinations.

The appropriate fee

The visa fee for a US Citizen is $131.00 regardless of the length of stay.

Citizens from Other Countries:

3 months single entry $80.00
3 months multiple entries $110.00
6 months multiple entries $200.00
1 year multiple entries $370.00

The visa fee should be paid in money order (payable to the Embassy of Mali) or cashier’s check. Personal checks are not accepted.

Additional fee of $10 will be charged for rush service when available.

Hours of operation

The visa section is open from 09:00 am to 05:00 pm Monday to Friday except on public holidays.

All visa applications are processed within five (5) business days.
Incomplete applications may cause delay in processing. Applicants may pick up their passports at the Embassy or send a prepaid self- addressed envelope (It is highly recommended that applicants send a return envelope with a tracking number to be able to track envelop.)
